For fashion designer Jiyeon Tak, we were commissioned to develop her accessory for the Antwerp fashion show in 3D and then produce it with our SLA printers.

The 3D model was built in the open source 3D modeling program Blender3D.
After the model was built and approved, it was sent to the slicer software to prepare for production. We use the Chitubox program to translate 3D models into the production process.
After the resin prints, they are then pre-sanded to be painted over later with a dark gray primer. After sanding, the parts are glued together.
To produce the oxidized look, we worked with 4 types of silver or metallic spray. These were layered with cotton wool. Then we sand the model with files and sandpaper, which exposes the dark primer layer, which gives an extra shade of color.
