Shading is the term used in 3D modelling for the process
of materials and textures on the surface model to install.
The material structure depends on the desired result. For realistic renders that are only used within the blender program, we will always recommend Full PBR. If the objects are exported via OBJ or DAE, all node-based properties are omitted when exported.
Build content with photos
Entirely based on a photo of material
No changes in the 3D program are possible.
Limited material properties lead to less realistic rendering
Export in .FBX, .OBJ, .DAE possible
Build content with photos & nodes
Edit image textures with nodes, then transferred to the PBR node.
Realistic, high degree of adaptation.
Can be optimized for other formats
Export in by default. BLEND format
Building material with nodes
Fully Node Based, material is built manually
High level of customizability
Time-intensive
Export in only. BLEND format
